An avid action researcher, Dr. Bhatnagar stated his career with the Indian Army as a commissioned officer in the Corps of Signals, leading companies from the front in operational areas, assisting the civil administrations during times of national emergencies and performing staff duties.

Thereafter, Dr. Bhatnagar led the human resource function of reputed organizations at different levels and industries. He has worked in automotive, pharmaceuticals, agri-business, clinical development, sugar, insurance, steel fabrication, lights manufacturing, power, and cement. As the CHRO for over 12 years, Dr. Bhatnagar has been instrumental in devising game-changing HR strategies, aligned to the business requirements and cultural uniqueness of the firms.
